Kewl! I finally see that my anti-spam efforts have worked! I'm like a couple of others here, EVERY time I get spammed I contact EVERY contact, (abuse contact my foot, I send email to EVERY email address), on the WHOIS report AND I BAN the spammer and/or their entire network if it's in/from a known hyper-spammer country. I have banned nearly all of eastern Europe, and the Asian basin, as well as most of Germany and Scandinavia. I can ban them from accessing my entire website through my server settings, and that's exactly what I do. I have reported certain US ISPs to their respective state Attorney General, "The Planet", in Texas is gonna get this line of treatment very soon. The Planet is a HUGE spam enabler!

I dunno if anyone realizes this but the spammers DO have their OWN ISPs IN THIS COUNTRY and they are many, all networked together, matrixed in ways to prevent following the trail. It took me months to get many of them. Keep your eyes open! Spam my website/forums = get as much punishment as I can lay on your slime-ball butt....

I have to agree with ChrisRLG: any spam that comes through MANDATES a complaint. I include IP and referrer in any responses so I can see who/what posted, and so I can follow up, and every time there is a spam post, send a complaint - don't just delete it. Deleting spam is easier, but it just ends up generating more spam...

I know why my sites (5 domains) are on this list.

When ever we get a spam 'hit' we ALWAYS report them to thier ISP/hosting company.

They probably lost too many connections by hitting mine :)

It is no good just deleting the spam. Get an IP and follow through with a full complaint to thier ISP.

Yes they may have used a proxy or even used a zombied machine. But in that case the zombied machine owner gets to know about it, so still a job well done.

The problem is domain registrations which are anonymous, Once this problem is addressed seriously then spammers will slow way down...
